It sounds too good to be true, trust me I know. If you’ve followed me for awhile, then you know that I’ve struggled with my relationship to food for over 7 years.

My biggest struggle was emotional eating. I always turned to binge eating during times of stress, which unfortunately was often. When I looked in the mirror, I hated what I saw and made sure to pick myself apart every day.

About 2 years ago, I got a health coach who finally started guiding me on how to lose weight in a way that wasn’t such a struggle. No cutting out food groups or counting calories – I honestly didn’t even think it would work! But it did. All the weight I held onto for so long was finally gone.

I Tried It All

I started taking dieting pills at just 14 years old, and I’m pretty sure I was trying fad diets even before that.

When I say I tried it all, I mean I tried it all. I spent thousands on a personal trainer, tried every fad diet in the group, cut out meat, cut out carbs, did cleanses, fasted for days, and wearing tight clothes so that I would feel shitty enough to starve myself. I would work out for 2 hours a day.

And of Course, Nothing Worked

If I did lose weight, it would come right back. The fact of the matter is, you’re always on a diet. You’re always either losing weight, gaining weight, or maintaining it. If you lose weight, but then go back to what you did to gain weight, then, you guessed it – it all comes back and then some.

This is how so many women fall into yo-yo dieting. All of these crazy diets are the result of good marketing, nothing more. The secret to losing weight and keeping it off is shifting your mindset, and fully understanding what you put in your body.

Becoming a Health Coach

Once I dropped the weight in just 3 weeks, I was not only blown away by my new size but I was feeling better mentally as well. I’ve always suffered from anxiety and depression due to a rough childhood. Between the support of my fitness community and actually taking care of myself, I started getting better.

I just wanted everyone to feel how I did, so I signed up to be a coach. After a couple years of helping women drop their unwanted weight, I got certified as a health coach as well as stress management coach. When you work with me, I want you to not only lose weight but also find happiness in all areas of life! I’ve always thought that’s where the issue stemmed from in the first place – your mindset.

Now, I am an expert at helping women overcome emotional eating. So many of us struggle the way I did.
