I made it to Missouri, and it feels so good to see my old friends and family. Now that I have lived and created lives in two separate places, I am always home and always homesick. It’s kind of a beautiful and bittersweet feeling.

One thing that I have been most excited about after quitting my job was having the ability to travel. To travel when I wanted, where I wanted. I wanted to be able to work as I made my way to the next location, and then spend the time there and really enjoy it.

When I can’t be in Missouri, I love that I have this beautiful necklace. It may look like a bunch of numbers to you, but to me, it means so much more. To me this necklace represents where I came from, it brings me back to a time where I was a person I wouldn’t recognize now – not in a bad way, just in a different way.

For those of you don’t know my background, I grew up in a small town called Troy, Missouri. I lived there up until I was 18, and then I only moved within 45 minutes after that. As much as I love living in a city and being an hour away from the beach, there’s something special about the town you come from, you know?

Having this necklace on allows me to bring a little place of “home” wherever I go. It sounds kind of ridiculous, but it’s special to me!

I love it so much, in fact, I’ll probably be giving this necklace as a lot of gifts, minus the Troy coordinates – I’m probably the only person in the world with those.

It really does make the perfect gift though! You could give it to your partner and use the coordinates of your first date or where you first met, you could give it to a friend who has moved away so that they always think of you, or really, you could use this to remember any special location.

This necklace is so simple and chic, which I love. I’m not much of a jewelry person unless it’s simple, clean, and matches basically everything.

I love all the jewelry on Sincerely Silver‘s website. Don’t look unless you’re ready to spend allllll of your money. Just kidding, go browse. Like now!

I love hearing your stories, they make my entire day! I’d love for you to comment and tell me your favorite place in the world and WHY it is your favorite place!
