Why I am going chemical free

Why I am Going Chemical Free

I’ve been taking steps towards living a healthier lifestyle for awhile now. I’m all about balance, so I am not perfect by any means. Over the last couple years I have implemented meditation, regular workouts and healthier food options into my routine. Generally, I do my best to honor my mind body and soul.

Chemical free though?
What even is that?

When I first learned of it a few years ago, I didn’t understand. I didn’t really care to understand either.

For awhile, I was one of those people that just thought Earth preservation, organic foods and doing meditation were only things hippies cared about. Even though I was “that person” before, I still can’t wrap my mind around the negative stigma with just wanting to be better
(you know, for our one and only body and our one and only planet?)

As I have done more digging, however, I am learning how messed up our societal norms are. Why would we choose products that could harm us over products that can help us? What’s the benefit?

So, let’s talk about this new chemical free life of mine, shall we?

What is Chemical Free?

So, what is it? It’s so much more than opting for organic foods. Chemicals are in literally everything. As if poisoning the stuff we put in our bodies isn’t bad enough, there are chemicals + toxins in our laundry detergent, dish washing soap, makeup, skin care, toothpaste, shampoo, and cleaning supplies!

We are literally eating, breathing and touching harmful chemicals all day. Chemicals that affect our hormones, irritate our skin, and have even been proved to cause cancer!

Baby Steps

Learning all of this can be pretty overwhelming.  My first step was switching to a wellness manufacturer that only produces all natural products. They have everything you need to begin your chemical free journey!

I’ll be sharing more about my chemical free journey with you all, so make sure to subscribe to get all the updates!

This is something I am focusing on (slowly) doing this year too! It started with looking for sugar in foods and quickly exploded in ton ingredient reading for food and then for everything else...! Good luck!
